Arsenal are reportedly considering the option of selling Mesut Ozil during the January transfer window rather than seeing him leave on a free next summer.
Ozil, alongside fellow star player Alexis Sanchez, has notably failed to agree a new deal with the Gunners despite being well into the final 12 months of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Talks appeared to have progressed when the German international insisted that he was happy at the club during the summer transfer window, but they have since stalled again and an agreement is now some way off.
Discussions are still ongoing between the two parties, but reports suggest that Ozil is demanding around £350,000 per week, while Arsenal are unwilling to go any higher than £275,000 a week.
The Mirror reports that high-flying Inter Milan are interested in signing the playmaker, which could tempt Arsenal into cashing in on him when the transfer window reopens.
Ozil has missed Arsenal's last two games with a knee injury, which has reportedly convinced manager Arsene Wenger that the team can survive without the German.
