Las Palmas goalkeeper Josep Martinez is now reportedly wanted by Arsenal, having previously been linked with a move to Spanish sides Real Madrid and Real Betis.

Arsenal have reportedly joined Real Madrid in the race to sign young Spanish goalkeeper Josep Martinez from Las Palmas.

The Gunners are in the market for a new keeper following the departures of Petr Cech and David Ospina this summer.

Spanish outlet Marca claims that Arsenal have been closely following Martinez, who has a release clause of £9m.

La Liga heavyweights Madrid are also believed to be in the running to sign the 21-year-old, however, as are Real Betis.

Martinez only made his debut in April but he became a regular in the closing stages of the 2018-19 campaign as Las Palmas finished 12th in the Segunda Division.
