Arsenal identify Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin as their number one forward target, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin as their number one forward target.

The Gunners are expected to lose Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah next summer, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's long-term future at the Emirates Stadium is unclear.

As a result, the North London club are likely to be in the market for a new striker ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, and according to football.london, Calvert-Lewin is viewed as the standout candidate.

The report claims that the England international 'ticks many boxes' for the Gunners, who will fight hard to bring him to the club during next summer's transfer window.

Calvert-Lewin scored three times in his first three Premier League appearances of the season but has since been on the sidelines with a fractured toe.

In total, the former Sheffield United youngster has netted 56 goals and registered 16 assists in 176 outings for the Toffees in all competitions, including 21 during the 2020-21 campaign.
