Arsenal could refuse to sell Robin van Persie should the Gunners striker demand to leave, according ro reports.

Arsenal could reportedly refuse to sell Robin van Persie should the Gunners striker reject the offer of a new contract.

The 29-year-old has just one year left on his current deal, and he will meet with club chiefs on Wednesday in order to discuss his future.

It has been suggested that the Dutchman will ask for a move to Manchester City, but according to The Sun, the club could refuse to sell and make the player see out the final year of his deal.

Van Persie, who has scored 30 league goals this season, will not be sold for less than £30m.
