Manchester City to offer Robin Van Persie £250,000 a week?

Manchester City could offer Robin Van Persie £250,000 a week in order for the striker to leave Arsenal.

Manchester City will reportedly offer Robin Van Persie wages of £250,000 a week to leave Arsenal.

The Dutchman has scored 37 goals for the Gunners this term and has been identified by Roberto Mancini as the man to lead City's attack next season, according to the Daily Star.

The Arsenal captain has already said that he "will always be a Gunner" and is ready to discuss a new contract with Arsene Wenger.

City's strikeforce already includes Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli but Van Persie could be added to that quartet if he gives in to the Citizens' financial power.

Arsenal have already signed Lukas Podolski for next season to potentially play alongside Van Persie.
