How Arsenal could line up against Bournemouth

Ahead of the Boxing Day clash in the Premier League between Bournemouth and Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up on the south coast.

Arsenal make the trip to face Bournemouth in the Premier League with Mikel Arteta taking charge of his first match since replacing interim boss Freddie Ljungberg.

Arteta was in the stands at Goodison Park at the weekend as the North London outfit battled to a goalless draw against the Toffees.

However, with Arsenal now sitting in the bottom half of the table, the newly-appointed Spaniard must decide whether to make any alterations.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Arsenal could line up for the Boxing Day encounter at the Vitality Stadium.

With Calum Chambers serving a one-match ban for five yellow cards, Sokratis Papastathopoulos is expected to partner David Luiz in the centre of the defence.

Bukayo Saka should keep his place at left-back, with Gabriel Martinelli continuing in his role further forward providing that he has shaken off a thigh issue.

While the midfield could remain the same, Dani Ceballos may be back among the substitutes after recovering from a thigh injury.

Arteta must decide whether to retain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in his starting lineup as Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette push for a recall.

However, it would come as a surprise if Mesut Ozil is drafted straight back into the first XI after a foot problem.
