Jack Wilshere wants to start scoring regularly

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere feels that the main area of his game that needs improving is to get his name on the scoresheet more regularly.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that he is focused on improving his strike rate at the Emirates this season.

Wilshere made his first-team return after more than 14 months out last weekend, playing over an hour in the Gunners' 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

The England international believes that he needs to score more regularly and insisted that he wants to chip in with goals over the course of the campaign.

He told the Premier League's official website: "I'm always looking to improve every aspect of my game.

"Before I got injured, I wasn't getting forward enough and didn't score enough goals.

"That is something I'm looking to do this year and I'll hopefully get a few more for the team."

The Gunners didn't struggle to score against Reading in his absence on Tuesday, coming back from 4-0 down to win by seven goals to five in an incredible League Cup tie.
