Theo Walcott keen to impress after injury

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott insists that he is ready to rediscover his form after returning from injury against Southampton.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has admitted that he is ready to rediscover his form after retuning from injury.

The England international has been out of action since September with a stomach problem, which required surgery.

However, after making his long-awaited return in the 2-0 win over Southampton, Walcott has said that he is ready to impress for the Gunners after a frustrating period in his career.

"It will take a couple of games, but I am sure I will be back to my best very soon," Walcott told reporters.

"It has been longer than I thought, but it is so good to be back out on the pitch with the guys and playing in such a fantastic team.

"Seeing the way we play football has been fairly pleasant to watch, but any player who is injured wants to go out there and perform. It is frustrating at times, but you have just got to think about getting back fit as soon as you can, and I am happy to be back now."

Walcott has made just seven appearances for Arsenal this season.
