Alvaro Negredo: 'Arsenal are favourites to win Premier League'

Alvaro Negredo believes that Arsenal should be considered title favourites after Jose Mourinho suggested that the league was Manchester City's to lose.

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has dismissed comments from Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho about the title race by insisting that Arsenal are favourites to win the Premier League this season.

Despite leading his side to a 1-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Monday night, Mourinho suggested after the game that the title was still City's to lose.

However, Negredo believes that Arsenal should still be considered as favourites to be on top at the end of the season.

"A week ago he said we weren't favourites and now he says we are," Negredo told reporters. "The favourite right now is Arsenal and we still have to play against them.

"We must do our best until the end of the season and then we will see who is the best."

Arsenal are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League.
