Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a second bid to appoint former midfielder Edu as the club's new technical director.

Arsenal have reportedly retained an interest in appointing Edu as the club's new technical director.

The Gunners had been linked with the likes of Monchi and Marc Overmars, but the North London outfit have been unsuccessful in their efforts to tempt either man to the Emirates Stadium.

Former midfielder Edu has also been on Arsenal's radar, and according to The Sun, a second attempt is being made to bring in the Brazilian.

Edu currently works as a general coordinator with the Brazil national team, but it has been alleged that Arsenal are eager to secure a reunion with the South American.

The 40-year-old made a total of 127 appearances for Arsenal between 2001 and 2005, a period which included the famous 'invincible' season under Arsene Wenger.
