Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Manchester City will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Citizens have only picked up four points from their first three matches of the 2020-21 Premier League season, which has left them in 14th position in the table.

Pep Guardiola's side were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United in their last match on October 3 and will be determined to put three points on the board this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Gunners, who have won three of their first four league games of the season.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. West Ham United)

Gabriel Jesus has missed City's last four matches in all competitions with a muscular problem, and the Brazil international will again be on the sidelines this weekend. The injury is not thought to be serious, though, and he could be available for selection away to West Ham United on October 24.

Sergio Aguero

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 17 (vs. Arsenal)

Sergio Aguero has not yet featured for City this season after undergoing a knee operation in June. The Argentina international is now back in first-team training for Guardiola's side, but he remains a major doubt for this weekend's contest due to his lack of football.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 17 (vs. Arsenal)

Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is yet to turn out for City this season, is currently on the sidelines with a muscular problem. The left-back did not link up with Ukraine on international duty, but he is in the latter stages of his recovery and could yet be available to face the Gunners.

Raheem Sterling

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 17 (vs. Arsenal)

City are sweating on the fitness of Raheem Sterling, who did not link up with the England squad on international duty due to a hamstring issue. The former Liverpool attacker could be back in contention for the Citizens on Saturday, although Guardiola is likely to make a late call on his fitness.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 21 (vs. Porto)

The former English champions will also be without Kevin De Bruyne this weekend, with the attacker picking up a thigh issue while representing Belgium against England. Guardiola has not revealed how many games De Bruyne could miss, but he will not be available against the Gunners.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

City have no players suspended for the clash at the Etihad Stadium.
