Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has spoken of how last season's FA Cup win proved 'liberating' for the Gunners, and may prove beneficial as the North London outfit head into the new season.
Arsene Wenger's side went nine years without winning a trophy until last season's 3-2 extra-time win against Hull City at Wembley.
Cazorla told Marca: "I think [the FA Cup win] has changed the pressure on us heading into the new season. It liberated us in a certain way.
"The team, after so many years without winning anything, were aware of the tension at important times."
Prior to the trophy win in May, Arsenal's last silverware, also the FA Cup, was won in 2005 after beating Manchester United on penalties at the Millennium Stadium.
