GOAL! Colchester 0-3 Tottenham (Nacer Chadli)

GOAL! Colchester 1-3 Tottenham (Ben Davies og)

Action-packed couple of minutes at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, where Spurs are facing Colchester United. The Premier League outfit looked to have sealed the win courtesy of Chadli's second of the match, nodding home Trippier's cross, but Colchester have hit right back, with Massey's effort coming off the post and hitting Davies on its way in.

GOAL! Colchester 1-4 Tottenham (Tom Carroll)

It's raining goals in Colchester! Tom Carroll makes it three in the space of five minutes to put Spurs back three goals ahead. It is safe to say that they will be joining Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup. You can follow the closing stages of that contest by clicking here.

Over in Italy, meanwhile, Palermo have taken the lead against Carpi in the early Serie A kickoff, and it is that old warhorse Albert Gilardino with the goal. That is his 184th in Serie A, bringing him level with the great Gabriel Batistuta in 13th on the all-time list.

WEST BROM STARTING XI: Myhill; Dawson, McAuley, Evans, Pocognoli; Sessegnon, Yacob, Gardner, McClean; Berahino, Lambert
Subs: Rose, Chester, Olsson, Gamboa, Leko, Anichebe, Rondon

Subs: Henry, Taylor, Maddison, Fox, Da Silva-Lopes, Coulibaly, Samuelsen

Where better to finish the team news that with that wonderful array of names from Peterborough? They are one of four lower-league sides who will be looking to oust Premier League opposition this afternoon, not including Colchester, who are just minutes away from having their FA Cup exit confirmed. We have two all-Premier League ties on offer too as Crystal Palace host Stoke and Aston Villa entertain Manchester City.

FULL TIME: Colchester United 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs join Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round, then, and it was all rather comfortable for Mauricio Pochettino's men. Nacer Chadli scored two and set up another as Spurs cruised to a 4-1 victory, with further goals from Dier and Carroll. Colchester did get on the board, albeit through a Ben Davies own goal, but the League One strugglers were outclassed today.

In addition to our general Saturday football coverage here, we have more in-depth coverage of three FA Cup games on offer for you this afternoon. The first of those sees the current holders Arsenal taking on Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, looking to take another step closer to a third straight FA Cup crown - a feat that has not been achieved since the 1880s. You can find that commentary here.

There is another Championship vs. Premier League tussle going on in Nottingham, where Forest will be looking to knock Watford out of the competition. Forest beat QPR in the third round, while Watford made it past top-flight opposition in the form of Newcastle. Live coverage of that game can be found here.

Down on the South Coast there is a local derby taking place, and potentially one of the big upsets of the day. Portsmouth, currently in League Two but pushing for a playoff spot this season, host the Premier League's Bournemouth at Fratton Park. It is not often that the fortunes of these two sides would have been so heavily tilted in Bournemouth's favour, so victory for the hosts today would be extra special. Live coverage of that game is here.

Arguably the biggest game of the day does not even come in England, however. La Liga's top two do battle at 3pm, with Barcelona hosting title rivals Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou. All the stars are involved for it, and it is a match that you really don't want to miss. Our build-up of that one has been going on for some time now, and it is onto the home straight before kickoff. Make sure you don't miss a thing by clicking here to follow minute-by-minute updates.

More importantly, they have safely secured their place in the hat for the fifth round. Twenty-two other teams will look to join them at 3pm this afternoon - we're now less than 10 minutes from kickoff!

Three of the top five in the Bundesliga are currently in action, including second-place Dortmund, but there are still no goals in any of the five 2.30pm kickoffs from Germany's top flight.

There are three games taking place in the Championship this afternoon, and it could be a big day at the bottom with Bristol City, Rotherham and Charlton all in action - the latter two of whom play each other. Birmingham will also be looking to climb into the playoff places, while Cardiff could cut the gap on the top six to just two points.

There will be action from Leagues One and Two, as well as the National League, also taking place this afternoon, which in Scotland the semi-finals of the League Cup get underway with Hibernian hosting St Johnstone.

And we're off! Games across the country are beginning to get underway now, so all we have to do is sit back and wait for the goals to start flying in!

And it hasn't taken long for the first of the afternoon to go in. Newport have opened the scoring against Morecambe in the very first minute to give themselves an early boost as they look to climb away from the relegation zone.

There could be something of a surprise in the National League, where Gateshead have taken an early lead against high-flying Grimsby.

GOAL! Aston Villa 0-1 Manchester City (Kelechi Iheanacho)

It hasn't taken Manchester City long to get up and running against Aston Villa, and it is another goal for Kelechi Iheanacho. This was a rather simple finish from the youngster, who stabbed home from close range after Guzan could only parry a header from Fernando.

GOAL! Rotherham 0-1 Charlton (Simon Makienok)

Big goal at the bottom of the Championship as Charlton take an early lead against their relegation rivals Rotherham. Makienok gets the goal, powering home an effort from 12 yards after good work from Bergdich.

There has been an early setback for League Two title-chasers Plymouth too. They find themselves a goal down to Wycombe in the opening stages. A league up, both Rochdale and Wigan have scored early against Burton and Port Vale respectively.

GOAL! Bolton 0-1 Leeds (Souleymane Doukara)

First blood goes to Leeds United in the all-Championship FA Cup meeting with troubled Bolton, with Souleymane Doukara getting the goal.

GOAL! Barcelona 0-1 Atletico Madrid (Koke)

BIG goal in the La Liga title race! Atletico take the lead at the Camp Nou after just 10 minutes, with Koke steering the ball home having been found unmarked inside the area. Atletico don't often squander leads, but then again they don't often come up against Messi, Suarez and Neymar...

GOAL! Rotherham 1-1 Charlton (Chris Burke)

GOAL! Bury 0-1 Hull (Chuba Akpom)

GOAL! West Brom 1-0 Peterborough (Saido Berahino)

With only a few days left of the transfer window, Saido Berahino reminds people that he is still around by opening the scoring for the Baggies on a rare start. Hull have also taken the lead in their FA Cup tie with Bury courtesy of Chuba Akpom's strike, while Rotherham have levelled things up in their Championship basement battle against Charlton.

GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-0 Stoke (Wilfried Zaha)

GOAL! Arsenal 1-0 Burnley (Calum Chambers)

GOAL! Shrewsbury 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday (Lewis McGugan)

Arsenal have taken the lead against Burnley, and in some style. Chambers is the unlikely source of the goal, but he showed no signs of his natural position as a defender when curling a beauty into the corner after patient build-up from the Gunners. Palace have also taken the lead against their Premier League rivals Stoke, with Zaha beating two defenders before slotting the ball past Haugaard.

GOAL! Aston Villa 0-2 Man City (Kelechi Iheanacho)

Iheanacho has his second of the afternoon, with this one coming from the penalty spot. Sterling went down in the area to win the spot kick, and Iheanacho converted from 12 yards in audacious fashion. Surely there is no way back for Villa now?

Time to check in on goings-on elsewhere - and there has been an entertaining opening half an hour in the Scottish top flight, with Motherwell leading Dundee 2-1. Hibernian have just taken the lead in the Scottish League Cup semi-final, meanwhile.

GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Burnley (Sam Vokes)

GOAL! Barcelona 1-1 Atletico Madrid (Lionel Messi)

Perhaps things won't be all plain sailing for the holders as they have been pegged back by Championship side Burnley at the Emirates courtesy of a powerful header from Sam Vokes. Over in Spain, meanwhile, a bloke by the name of Messi has just levelled things up for Barcelona against Atletico, firing an effort into the bottom corner having been found by Alba.

Hibernian had the lead in their Scottish League Cup semi-final for just four minutes! St Johnstone have now equalised in that match, leaving it in the balance once again.

That goal from Messi, by the way, was the 1,000th that he and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored between them in professional football. We'll miss them when they're gone!

GOAL! Oxford United 0-1 Blackburn (Ben Marshall)

GOAL! Huddersfield 0-1 Cardiff (Peter Whittingham)

GOAL! Reading 1-0 Walsall (Hal Robson-Kanu)

GOAL! Barcelona 2-1 Atletico Madrid (Luis Suarez)

GOAL! Bolton 0-2 Leeds (Toumani Diagouraga)

Barcelona complete the turnaround against Atletico, but when you've got that front three, you're always going to stand a chance. Suarez is arguably in the best form of the lot, at least in front of goal, and he has made it 2-1 to the Catalan giants at the Camp Nou!

GOAL! Huddersfield 1-1 Cardiff (Nahki Wells)

GOAL! Reading 2-0 Walsall (Matej Vydra)

GOAL! Portsmouth 1-0 Bournemouth (Gary Roberts)

GOAL! Rotherham 1-2 Charlton (Igor Vetokele)

GOAL! Oxford 0-2 Blackburn (Tony Watt)

Do I smell an upset down on the South Coast?! Portsmouth have taken the lead against Bournemouth right on the stroke of half time and are now on course to knock a side 58 places above them in the English football pyramid out of the FA Cup. Gary Roberts got the goal for the home side to send Fratton Park delirious.

There has also been a red card in the match at the Camp Nou, with Filipe Luis being sent off for a poor challenge on Messi. Atletico are up against it now - down 2-1 and with only 10 men for the entire second half against Barcelona.

It is half time in all of the FA Cup games now, and there could be a couple of shocks brewing. Holders Arsenal have been pegged back by Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, with Vokes cancelling out Chambers's opener, while on the South Coast League Two side Portsmouth are leading Bournemouth.

Aside from that, though, things are going pretty much as expected. Manchester City appear to be in control with a 2-0 lead against Aston Villa, while Crystal Palace are ahead in the other all-Premier League tie, leading Stoke 1-0. West Brom, Hull, Blackburn, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday are all leading lower-league opposition, while the only goalless game is at the City Ground, where Nottingham Forest are hosting Watford.

In the Championship, meanwhile, Bristol City and Birmingham are still goalless, which is a result that would send Birmingham into the top six and perhaps be a decent point for the hosts at Ashton Gate too. Huddersfield and Cardiff are level at one apiece, while Charlton are leading their relegation battle with Rotherham 2-1.

We're getting back underway around the country now, with 45 minutes separating many of these teams from the fifth round of the FA Cup. The second half at the Camp Nou is also underway, with Atletico trailing Barcelona 2-1 with only 10 men too.

It's been an action-packed 10 minutes or so in the Bundesliga match between Werder Bremen and Hertha Berlin, with the visitors taking a 3-1 lead in the 71st minute but being pegged back with two goals in as many minutes. It is now 3-3 with around 10 minutes remaining.

Manchester United fans, look away now. Javier Hernandez has scored yet again for Bayer Leverkusen today, taking his tally to 18 goals in his last 16 games. A sound piece of business from Louis van Gaal.

GOAL! Arsenal 2-1 Burnley (Alexis Sanchez)

He's baaaaack! Alexis Sanchez marks his first start since November with a goal to give Arsenal the lead again at the Emirates. It is a typical well-worked team goal from the Gunners, which was finished off by Sanchez slamming it into the roof of the net.

GOAL! Shrewsbury 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday (Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro)

Shrewsbury could join the list of upsets today after all! They level things up against Sheffield Wednesday courtesy of Akpa Akpro!

Salomon Kalou's goal for Hertha Berlin against Werder Bremen has given him a special place in football's history books...

And staying in Germany, Javier Hernandez has just scored AGAIN to give Bayer Leverkusen a 3-0 lead over Hannover. Make that 19 goals in his last 16 outings for the club in all competitions.

GOAL! Bury 0-2 Hull (Chuba Akpom)

Chuba Akpom has doubled his personal tally for the evening to all but send Hull City into the fifth round. This time it was from the penalty spot after Sone Aluko had been brought down, and Akpom made no mistake.

GOAL! Huddersfield 1-2 Cardiff (Lex Immers)

Cardiff are on course to close the gap to the playoff places in the Championship having regained the lead against Huddersfield thanks to Lex Immers, who finished off a fine team move from the Bluebirds.

There are a couple of surprise results on the way in League One, with the top two both currently losing. Blackpool lead Gillingham 1-0, while Burton trail Rochdale 2-0. Wigan are the team taking advantage at the moment, as they would close the gap on the automatic promotion places if they hold on to a 2-0 lead over 10-man Port Vale.

Meanwhile down in League Two, Yeovil's recent mini-revival looks set to continue. They have trailed twice against Wimbledon but now lead the playoff chasers 3-2 courtesy of a hat-trick from Compton. That would be a huge away victory for Yeovil.

GOAL! Portsmouth 1-1 Bournemouth (Josh King)

GOAL! Rotherham 1-3 Charlton (Simon Makienok)

GOAL! Bury 0-3 Hull (Chuba Akpom, hat-trick)

Bournemouth fans can breathe a sigh of relief - they have equalised against Portsmouth! Josh King has got the goal for the Cherries, nodding home a free kick to perhaps kill any Pompey hopes of an upset today. Elsewhere, Charlton now lead Rotherham 3-1, while Chuba Akpom has completed his hat-trick to surely fire Hull into the fifth round.

GOAL! Aston Villa 0-3 Manchester City (Kelechi Iheanacho, hat-trick)

GOAL! Shrewsbury 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday (Lewis McGugan)

GOAL! Aston Villa 0-4 Manchester City (Raheem Sterling)

What a big moment for Iheanacho as he completes his first senior hat-trick to kill Aston Villa off once and for all, and that is quickly followed by a fourth from Sterling. Sandwiched in between that quickfire double, Sheffield Wednesday also regained the lead against Shrewsbury through McGugan's second of the afternoon.

GOAL! Reading 3-0 Walsall (Danny Williams)

GOAL! Oxford 0-3 Blackburn (Ben Marshall)

GOAL! West Brom 1-1 Peterborough (Shaq Coulthirst)

GOAL! Bolton 1-2 Leeds (Darren Pratley)

GOAL! Huddersfield 1-3 Cardiff (Peter Whittingham)

With that glut of goals from the FA Cup and Championship I haven't even had time to tell you that Atletico have been reduced to nine men against Barcelona now! Diego Godin has picked up a second yellow card, but the deficit remains just the one goal. It would be some feat if they were to get anything out of that game.

GOAL! West Brom 2-1 Peterborough (Saido Berahino)

GOAL! Portsmouth 1-2 Bournemouth (Marc Pugh)

GOAL! West Brom 2-2 Peterborough (Jon Taylor)

GOAL! Shrewsbury 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday (Shaun Whalley)

GOAL! Nottingham Forest 0-1 Watford (Odion Ighalo)

It is all happening in the closing stages of the FA Cup, particularly at The Hawthorns! Peterborough equalised against West Brom, who then regained the lead through Berahino's second, only to squander it once again! Shrewsbury have also pulled it back against Sheffield Wednesday and are on course for a replay, while Watford have left to late to get the opening goal against Nottingham Forest through Ighalo.

GOAL! Bury 1-3 Hull (Craig Jones)

LIVERPOOL STARTING XI: Mignolet; Clyne, Caulker, Lovren, Smith; Stewart, Allen, Brannagan; Ibe, Teixeira, Benteke
Subs: Ward, Enrique, Ilori, Chirivella, Sinclair, Ojo, Randall

WEST HAM STARTING XI: Randolph; Tomkins, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Obiang, Song, Kouyate; Moses, Payet, Valencia

GOAL! Reading 4-0 Walsall (Matej Vydra)

FULL TIME: Bolton 1-2 Leeds

FULL TIME: Crystal Palace 1-0 Stoke

GOAL! Huddersfield 2-3 Cardiff (Harry Bunn)

FULL TIME! Barcelona 2-1 Atletico Madrid

FULL TIME: Aston Villa 0-4 Manchester City

FULL TIME: Arsenal 2-1 Burnley

FULL TIME: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Watford

FULL TIME: West Brom 2-2 Peterborough

GOAL! Rotherham 1-4 Charlton (Ademola Lookman)

FULL TIME: Portsmouth 1-2 Bournemouth

GOAL! Shrewsbury 3-2 Sheffield Wednesday (Jack Grimmer)

FULL TIME: Bury 1-3 Hull

FULL TIME: Oxford 0-3 Blackburn

FULL TIME: Reading 4-0 Walsall

FULL TIME: Shrewsbury 3-2 Sheffield Wednesday

FULL TIME: Huddersfield 2-3 Cardiff

FULL TIME: Rotherham 1-4 Charlton

It looks as though Shrewsbury have stolen the headlines on the Saturday of the fourth round of the FA Cup, then! They come from behind to score a 98th-minute winner, knocking Sheffield Wednesday out of the competition and making it through to the fifth round. They will be joined there by Arsenal, Manchester City, Leeds, Hull, Crystal Palace, Watford, Blackburn, Bournemouth, Reading and Shrewsbury, with only one draw so far today - that coming between West Brom and Peterborough.

FULL TIME: Bristol City 0-0 Birmingham

There have also been big results for Cardiff and Charlton in the Championship today, with the latter cruising to a 4-1 win over relegation rivals Rotherham to give their survival bid a shot in the arm. Over in Spain, there was a big win for Barcelona as they came from behind to beat Atletico 2-1 at the Camp Nou, with Diego Simeone's side finishing the game with just nine men.

Right, that is all we have time for this evening! Thank you for joining Sports Mole for the bulk of the day's action, but there is still more to come! Our coverage of Liverpool vs. West Ham is already underway, so head on over for more FA Cup football. I'll see you there!
