Arsenal forward Lukas Podoslki has revealed that he ranks his goal against Montpellier as one of the finest of his career.
Podolski exchanged passes with Olivier Giroud before smashing a volley into the roof of the net in the Gunners' 2-0 win over the French champions in midweek.
The German international admitted that he will look back on the strike with fondness for many years to come.
He told the club's official website: "I've scored a lot of goals in my career but this was a special goal. It was a home game, a Champions League game. I think it was a great goal, yes.
"[After scoring I waved to] my mother, who was upstairs in a box. She was there in the stadium and watched the game. The goal was for her.
"I think after my career, I will remember this goal and have this on my laptop and can watch the game. My son can look at this goal. I think it was a great goal and I'm very happy about it."
The 27-year-old has scored seven times this season including goals in his last three consecutive games.
