Alexandre Pato: 'AC Milan to blame for injuries'

Alexandre Pato blames the medical team at his former club AC Milan for his persistent injury troubles during his seven years in Italy.

Alexandre Pato has blamed the medical team at his former club AC Milan for his persistent injury troubles during his time at the Italian outfit.

The 24-year-old spent seven years at the San Siro, but departed for Brazilian club Corinthians in January.

"My muscle troubles were not down to me. I had many injuries at Milan," he told Sport TV.

"I was playing, getting injured, recovering and then going back in to see the physio. It is the fault of the doctors who were forcing me to return to the pitch too soon."

Pato has also scored 10 goals in 26 games for Brazil.
