Australia could lose Michael Hooper as flanker cited for striking opponent

Australia's Michael Hooper faces hearing after being cited for striking Argentina's Nicolas Sanchez.

Australia's Michael Hooper faces a possible ban for striking Argentina's Nicolas Sanchez during their Rugby Championship clash at the weekend.

The flanker came off the bench in the second half and appeared to hit Sanchez in the 59th minute.

Hooper, who is expected to be involved at the World Cup, will attend a hearing chaired by Judicial Officer Chris Morris.

Australia won the match 34-9 in Mendoza.
