Jason Puncheon scored a late winner as Crystal Palace came from behind to record a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, whose recent run of good results in the Premier League came to an end at Selhurst Park.
Spurs dominated possession in the early stages of the game, with the in-form Harry Kane trying his luck with a speculative effort which Julian Speroni easily kept out.

After spending long spells looking for an opening on the edge of the Palace box, the visitors created the best chances of the first half when Kyle Walker's cross was deflected into the path of Christian Eriksen, who somehow managed to fired wide from just a few yards out.
Despite being forced onto the back foot by the away side's confident start, Palace would have been ahead at the break had Hugo Lloris not reacted impressively to get a crucial hand on Glenn Murray's effort.
Spurs broke the deadlock with their first attack of the second half when a loose ball broke to Kane, who fired a low shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Lloris protected his side's lead moments later by getting a strong hand to Dwight Gayle's effort, after Scott Dann had headed the ball across the box.

Palace were gifted the chance to equalise with just over 20 minutes remaining when Benjamin Stambouli foolishly jumped into a challenge on Joe Ledley inside the box, although contact appeared to be minimal.
Gayle stepped up to confidently finish from 12 yards and pile the pressure on Spurs for the first time in the game.
Just a few minutes after Palace were denied another penalty when the ball struck Kyle Walker's arm, the hosts took the lead through Jason Puncheon, who picked out the bottom corner after Wilfried Zaha had evaded a couple of challenges to pick out his teammate.

Zaha, whose pace troubled the Spurs defence after his introduction from the bench, could have wrapped up the win when he collected the ball on the break in stoppage time, but even a fine save from Lloris failed to take the shine off a perfect return to Selhurst Park for Alan Pardew.
