Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino predicts that the world's best players will be lured to the Premier League in the future.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has predicted that the next superstar of the sport will ply his trade in the Premier League.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have shared the past eight Ballon d'Or crowns between themselves, but both players have spent the peak years of their career playing in La Liga.

However, Pochettino believes that the spending power of clubs in the Premier League will enable English teams to attract the world's best players in the future.

"These types of players don't come around every day or every year. Real Madrid and Barcelona already have them and nobody is going to take them away," he told Marca.

"But, with the financial power that the clubs have, the next Messi or Ronaldo will play in England. The talent will come to England soon, in fact it is already arriving."

Messi has spent his entire professional career with Barcelona, while Ronaldo spent six years in the Premier League with Manchester United before moving to Real Madrid in 2009.
