Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has undergone an ankle injection in a bid to return to his team before the end of the season.
The 22-year-old, who impressed in Mauricio Pochettino's team before the turn of the year, has featured only three times for the North London club in 2018 due to an ankle injury.
According to the Evening Standard, the midfielder has taken an injection which is hoped can reduce the inflammation in his ankle and allow him to return to action.
Winks, who made his senior international debut in a win over Lithuania in October, was forced to pull out of the England Under-21 squad earlier this year due to the issue.
The midfielder starred in both of his side's Champions League matches against Real Madrid in the competition's group stages.
