Reims were held to a goalless draw by Nantes at the Stade Auguste Delaune in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
The away side were largely on top in the first half and nearly found the lead in the 22nd minute when Vincent Bessat's shot from outside the box forced a save from Kossi Agassa.
Bessat was again denied by Agassa before the break after an earlier long-range effort flew just wide of the far post.
Reims improved after the break and almost went ahead when Gaetan Charbonnier hit a right-footed shot from distance on the right, but Remy Riou pulled off a fine stop in his bottom left corner.
The hosts nearly found a winner 13 minutes from time, but Antoine Devaux could only fire wide of the post from outside the box.
