Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed that Los Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti rejected the chance to sign Radamel Falcao this summer.
Falcao was strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu, but ultimately moved to Manchester United on a season-long loan.
"Falcao is a great player and we've considered him, now and in the past," AS quotes Perez as saying.
"We reviewed the situation with Ancelotti and decided not to sign the player."
Javier Hernandez joined Madrid on loan from Manchester United this summer.
