The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Real Madrid eye possible reinforcements.
Florentino Perez oversaw a significant overhaul of his squad last summer before focusing more on youth in January. As is always the case with Madrid, though, some of the biggest names in football continue to be linked, even in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.
Saturday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'may have to settle for Sergio Reguilon loan deal'
Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Sergio Reguilon as Real Madrid are only prepared to allow the defender to leave on loan this summer, according to a report.
Reguilon starred in the Sevilla team which achieved a top-four finish and a sixth Europa League crown in the 2019-20 season, making 38 appearances in total while on loan at Julen Lopetegui's side.
The Spaniard is now back in Madrid ahead of the new campaign, but with Ferland Mendy and Marcelo among the ranks on the left-hand side for Los Blancos, Reguilon could supposedly seek a move elsewhere this summer.
However, Sport claims that while Real manager Zinedine Zidane is happy to part ways with the left-back, the powers-that-be would rather see Reguilon depart on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The report comes as a blow to United who are believed to have already submitted a £27m bid for Reguilon, but the Red Devils are still said to be at the head of the queue for the 23-year-old despite strong interest from other clubs.
Reguilon's current deal at the Bernabeu will run until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
AC Milan leading race to sign Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic?
Ac Milan have reportedly held discussions with Real Madrid regarding the potential signing of Luka Jovic.
After a dismal first campaign at the Bernabeu, Jovic has been made available for transfer, preferably on loan due to Real being unable to recoup the £54m fee which they shelled out on the Serbia international last summer.
A number of Premier League clubs, including Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, have been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old.
However, according to Tuttosport, Milan and Real officials spoke about Jovic when closing off a deal for Brahim Diaz.
The report suggests that Milan are in the market for an alternative to veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who recently opted to extend his stay at San Siro by a further 12 months.
Due to their planned financial outlay on other targets, the Italian giants would prefer to sign a younger player on a temporary basis.
