Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sevilla

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Sevilla.

Real Madrid will be looking to recover from back-to-back defeats when they resume their 2020-21 La Liga season away to Sevilla on Saturday afternoon.

Zinedine Zidane's side lost 2-1 at home to Alaves in La Liga last weekend before suffering a damaging 2-0 defeat away to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Los Blancos are currently fourth in Spain's top flight, seven points behind league leaders Real Sociedad, although they do have a game in hand on the Basque club.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Sevilla, who are just one point and one position behind the capital giants in the table.

Eden Hazard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Eden Hazard, who has struggled with a number of injuries during his time with Madrid, limped off the field against Alaves last weekend after picking up a muscular issue and is now facing another period on the sidelines.

Sergio Ramos

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. Sevilla)

Sergio Ramos has been unavailable for selection since picking up a hamstring problem while representing Spain during the recent international break, but there is a chance that the Madrid captain could return this weekend.

Federico Valverde

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shin
Possible return date: Unknown

Los Blancos will be without the services of Federico Valverde for at least couple of weeks after the midfielder picked up a small shin fracture during the defeat to Valencia before the international break.

Luka Jovic

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. Sevilla)

Luka Jovic has now tested negative for coronavirus, and the Serbia striker could be available this weekend, although it would be a surprise to see him earn a spot in the starting XI.

Alvaro Odriozola

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. Sevilla)

Alvaro Odriozola had been tipped to make his return from a calf injury against Villarreal or Inter, but the defender was not involved, before again missing out on the squad against Alaves and Shakhtar. The Spaniard has actually not featured for Zidane's side since the end of September, and he could again be unavailable this weekend.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: December 9 (vs. Borussia Monchengladbach)

Madrid will again be without the services of first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal on Saturday due to a thigh problem, but the Spain international could return against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Madrid do not have any suspension issues for the league clash.
