Dani Alves hits out at Sergio Ramos

Barcelona defender Dani Alves says that Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos should not be criticising referees after Saturday's El Clasico.

Barcelona defender Dani Alves has hit out at Sergio Ramos for criticising the referee after Saturday's El Clasico.

The Real Madrid defender was infuriated at the official's decision not to award them two penalties in their 2-1 defeat to their fierce rivals, but Alves has said that the players should not talk about the appointed referees.

"Maybe Ramos should not talk about the referee as he could have been shown two yellow cards. As players we are the least qualified to talk about referees," he told reporters.

"The newspapers and TV have sold more copies to their audience for debating about the referee."

Barcelona are currently four points top of La Liga.
