Real Madrid's Enzo Zidane eyeing more first-team action

French midfielder Enzo Zidane vows to "keep working" in a bid to earn a regular spot in the Real Madrid first team this season.

Enzo Zidane has vowed to "keep working" in order to convince his father Zinedine Zidane that he deserves to be involved in the Real Madrid first team on a regular basis this season.

The 21-year-old midfielder capped his first-team debut with a goal on Wednesday night as he netted in Real Madrid's 6-1 victory over Cultural Leonesa in the second leg of their last-32 Copa del Rey contest.

Enzo Zidane described the goal as "a dream" and now wants to build on his impressive second-half performance.

"To score on your Real Madrid debut is always a dream and I'm really happy it's come at the Bernabeu and with a win," he told Madrid's official website.

"It's been a very special night. I've had to wait for my chance and now it's here. This is the beginning and I have to keep working to get more chances and help the team."

Real Madrid will look to stretch their lead at the top of La Liga to nine points when they visit Barcelona for the first Clasico of the season on Saturday afternoon.
