Rangers cruise past Arbroath

Rangers ease past Arbroath 3-0 at Gayfield Park.

Rangers have eased past Arbroath 3-0 at Gayfield Park in Scottish League One.

Jon Daly's 13th goal of the season put the visitors ahead after just three minutes. The striker bundled the ball home from close range following Ian Black's in-swinging free kick.

Bradley Donaldson put through his own net when Lewis MacLeod's off-target shot took two deflections before ending up in goal.

Sebastien Faure should have made it 3-0 just before the half-hour mark, but his header went over the bar from Fraser Aird's corner.

However, Rangers had their third shortly before the break when Nicky Clark found the net.

Daly nearly added a second just before the hour mark, but his effort cannoned back off the woodwork, before the home side also hit the bar through Bobby Linn minutes later.
