Preview: Lorient vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole previews the Ligue 1 clash between Lorient and PSG, who are without both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani for the trip to the Stade du Moustoir.

Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they travel to Lorient on Saturday afternoon.

The French champions have not lost any of their opening 11 Ligue 1 fixtures, but six draws mean that they sit four points Marseille at the top of the table.

Laurent Blanc will have to make do without injured talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the suspended Edinson Cavani, and is therefore short of options up front.

However, the Parisians will still be confident of victory, having put three past Bordeaux without their two star strikers last weekend.

Lorient won in the French League Cup in midweek, but have lost six out of their last seven league games to slip to 17th, and three of their wins this season have come away from their Stade du Moustoir home.

Sylvain Ripoll rung the changes for the success at Evian TG on Tuesday, but is expected to recall Benjamin Lecomte in goal as well as defenders Raphael Guerreiro and Lamine Gassama, and forward Giles Sunu.

Eight of Valentin Lavigne's nine Ligue 1 appearances this season have been off the bench, but the striker has netted three times as a substitute and scored in the cup win, so could be given the nod alongside Jordan Ayew.

Along with Cavani, Gregory van der Wiel is also banned for PSG and therefore Lucas Digne will replace him at right-back. Yohan Cabaye will again probably miss out on a place in their three-man midfield.

Blanc went with Jean Christophe Bahebeck as his recognised striker against Bordeaux, but may be tempted to deploy Ezequiel Lavezzi in a central role, with Lucas Moura and Javier Pastore off the flanks.

PSG have not lost any of their last five games with Lorient, who previously went five games unbeaten against the capital outfit.
