Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino refuses to rule out a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba before the end of this summer's transfer window.

Pogba's current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire next June, and PSG have been strongly linked with his services over the last few weeks.

Talk of a switch to Paris has quietened since Lionel Messi arrived, but Pochettino said that "things can happen" when asked directly about a potential move for Pogba before the transfer deadline.

"The arrival of a midfielder like Pogba? We know that in football things can happen, situations turnaround," Pochettino told reporters.

"A club like PSG is always open to improving its workforce. A sector where we must strengthen as a priority for me? I won't say it publicly. Never. I will tell (sporting director) Leonardo first, who will tell our president. If I say so, there will be an earthquake and problems."

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Friday that his club were still in talks with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola over a potential new deal.

The France international starred in his side's 2021-22 Premier League opener against Leeds United last weekend, providing four assists in the 5-1 win at Old Trafford.
