Marcos Rojo suffers dislocated shoulder

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal confirms that Marco Rojo sustained a dislocated shoulder in Sunday's defeat at Manchester City.

Louis van Gaal has revealed that defender Marcos Rojo dislocated his shoulder in Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to rivals Manchester City on Sunday.

The Argentine was stretchered off the field on 56 minutes after landing awkwardly in yesterday's Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

Van Gaal claims that Rojo will definitely miss Saturday's visit of Crystal Palace at a minimum, stating that he does not yet know the full extent of the damage.

"The shoulder is out, so you never know how long that takes," the Dutchman told Sky Sports News. "I have to wait until tomorrow but he shall not play against Crystal Palace."

Sergio Aguero struck the only goal of the game on 63 minutes to secure the three points and the bragging rights against 10-man United.

The Red Devils were forced to play the majority of the contest with 10 men after Chris Smalling was sent off for two yellow cards in the space of eight first-half minutes.
