Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga was seemingly struck by a coin in the Red Devils' 4-2 win over Leeds United on Sunday.
The 19-year-old started on the bench at Elland Road for the Premier League contest but was introduced for Jesse Lingard in the 67th minute before being hit by the projectile.
After fellow substitute Fred had restored Man United's lead, Ralf Rangnick's side proceeded to celebrate in front of the Leeds fans, with Elanga dropping to the ground after the coin was thrown in his direction.
The Swedish starlet had barely been on the pitch for three minutes before the painful episode, but he continued after receiving medical attention and wrapped up the win with a calm finish in the 89th minute.
Elanga proceeded to put his finger to his lips while celebrating in front of the home crowd, and interim manager Rangnick reported that Leeds are conducting an internal investigation into the incident.
Elanga's strike at Elland Road was his second of the season in the Premier League as the Red Devils remain in the top four of the top-flight table.
