Wolverhampton Wanderers slipped to their fourth successive home defeat in all competitions against Liverpool this evening.
Neither side was able to find the net during the opening 45 minutes in a half of very few chances.
However, Andy Carroll broke the deadlock for Liverpool seven minutes after the restart. Charlie Adam was the creator, crossing for the striker who headed the seventh goal of his Liverpool career.
Craig Bellamy doubled Liverpool's advantage just after the hour mark when he ran through the Wolves defence unchallenged to shoot past Wayne Hennessey.
Adam claimed his second assist of the match with 12 minutes remaining as Liverpool sealed the victory. The Scotland international's pass found Dirk Kuyt, who squeezed the ball in from a tight angle.
Wolves offered little as an attacking threat in the remaining minutes and they remain in the relegation zone.
