Goals from Ki Sung-Yueng and Pablo Hernandez hand Swansea City a 2-0 friendly win over Gravenzande.

Michael Laudrup's Swansea City got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start this afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Dutch side Gravenzande.

The Premier League outfit started the brighter of the two sides in the Netherlands, but they were unable to find the net during the opening exchanges.

One of their best chances fell to winger Wayne Routledge, but having exchanged passes with Alejandro Pozuelo, his shot from inside the penalty area stuck the post.

They did, however, break the deadlock five minutes before the break. Nathan Dyer's effort cannoned against the upright, but midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng was on hand to convert the rebound from close range.

Laudrup made a number of changes to his lineup during the half-time break, but the Swans continued to dominate proceedings after the restart.

Three chances fell to Pozuelo, who recently signed on at the Liberty Stadium from Real Betis, but on each occasion the 21-year-old failed to hit the target.

He did claim an assist in the closing stages when he played in his fellow Spaniard Pablo Hernandez, who in turn slotted the ball into the net from the edge of the area.
