Fiorentina have eked out a narrow 1-0 victory over Bologna at home in Serie A.

The Viola went ahead after just seven minutes through Stevan Jovetic.

Nenad Tomovic headed down a corner that the Montenegro international flicked past Federico Agliardi from just yards out.

Agliardi denied Fiorentina their second goal when he kept out Mati Fernandez's attempt before Jovetic failed to keep his shot on target after being set up by a Luca Toni header.

Alessandro Diamanti then came close for Bologna with a free kick, and Toni's goal on 51 minutes was ruled out for offside.

Agliardi was tested by Juan Cuadrado later in the second half and he also kept out Giulio Migliaccio and Tomovic.
