Nikola Vlasic insists choosing Everton was an easy decision

Everton youngster Nikola Vlasic says that he did not "hesitate" when the club make a move for him in the summer.

Everton winger Nikola Vlasic has revealed that he "didn't hesitate at all" when the Merseyside club showed interest in him.

The 20-year-old moved to Goodison Park from Hajduk Split on the final day of the recent transfer window.

The Croatian has made five appearances in all competitions so far and has netted once, during the Toffees' 2-2 draw with Apollon Limassol in the Europa League a fortnight ago.

Speaking about the £10m switch in an interview with Sports Gazette, Vlasic said: "Just for fun I told my father 'yeah sure let's go to England' but honestly I couldn't picture myself there, yet. I was only focusing on Hajduk.

"Now I feel much more mature and when Everton showed interest I didn't hesitate at all. It was no 'maybe', it was an honest 'yes'. Now I am solely focusing on Everton. I love how the fans here comment and cheer on every move you make on the pitch. For now, I could not picture myself anywhere else."

Ronald Koeman's side have struggled for positive results having won just two of their seven Premier League matches, which has left the club 16th in the table.
