Chelsea are reportedly poised to sign Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle on deadline day.
Schurrle was the subject of a £16m bid from the Blues last month, which Leverkusen rejected.
Roberto Di Matteo is desperate to land the German international and will up his bid to £20m to make the deal happen, according to The Sun.
A move for Schurrle would take the European champions' spending over the £100m mark after already completing deals for Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Victor Moses, Oscar and Cesar Azpilicueta this summer.
The newspaper claims that any deal for Schurrle could see Daniel Sturridge head to Liverpool on loan in search of first-team football.
Chelsea are in action on Friday night as the transfer window closes against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.
