Bradford City 3-2 Burton Albion (AET)

Stephen Darby scores a late winner in extra time to cap a dramatic comeback for Bradford City, who progress to round four of the League Cup at the expense of League Two rivals Burton Albion.

Bradford City staged a dramatic comeback to reach the fourth round of the League Cup with a thrilling extra-time victory over Burton Albion at Valley Parade.

The Brewers, who had never been as far as round three prior to this season, deservedly led 2-0 with just seven minutes of the regulation 90 remaining.

However, a last-gasp double from Nahki Wells forced the game into extra time, where Stephen Darby struck a late winner.

Billy Kee broke the deadlock on 18 minutes, sweeping home Anthony O'Connor's low cross from six yards.

Aaron Webster doubled the visitors' lead 11 minutes later with a powerful header, which was assisted by Jack Dyer.

Bradford, who have won all four of their League Two matches at home this season, had looked unlikely to stage a comeback, but they were given hope when Wells found the top corner from 18 yards on 83 minutes.

Wells then equalised in the second minute of stoppage time, rifling home from James Hanson's knockdown inside the six-yard box.

Bradford were the better side throughout extra time and their persistent pressure finally told in the 115th minute, when Darby found the bottom right corner from all of 30 yards.
