Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton back in light training

Burnley goalkeeper and captain Tom Heaton is back in training as he continues his recovery from shoulder surgery.

Burnley have revealed that club captain and goalkeeper Tom Heaton is back in training.

The 31-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on September 10 when he fell awkwardly after claiming a high ball in the Turf Moor fixture.

Heaton subsequently went under the knife and has been recovering since then, with Nick Pope expertly filling in for the Clarets' first-choice custodian.

Burnley confirmed Heaton's return with a video on their YouTube channel, aptly titled: "Training: Tom Heaton Returns!".

Heaton has made 178 appearances for Burnley and has kept 61 clean sheets for the team.
