Phil Parkinson pleased with Bradford City display

Bradford manager Phil Parkinson reveals that he was pleased with his side's display in their goalless draw with Reading in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson has said that he was pleased with his side's efforts as they played out a goalless draw with Reading in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Neither side were able to make the breakthrough in a scrappy game at Valley Parade and the Bantams face a difficult assignment back at the Madejski Stadium against the Championship outfit, but Parkinson was happy with his side's performance.

"We're still in the hat for the semi-final, so we're pleased with that," the Bradford boss told BT Sport. "We've got to give Reading credit today, they came and made it difficult.

"They put an extra man in midfield and came and did the basics well. It was a cagey old affair. It was always going to be a mistake or a piece of quality that decided the game, and I thought our lads did excellent.

"We're still in the hat, we'll look forward to another good Cup tie at the Madejski."

The two teams will play their replay on March 17, with a date at Wembley on the line.
