Goals from Neil Danns and Conor Wilkinson gave Bolton Wanderers a 2-0 victory over Rochdale in their pre-season friendly at Spotland this evening.

Jermaine Beckford came close to opening the scoring for the visitors on 11 minutes, but his low shot from inside the Rochdale area was well saved by Jonny Diba.

Bolton did take the lead midway through the first half, however, as Diba could not keep out a powerful long-range strike from Danns.

Wilkinson made sure of the win with a well-taken finish on 77 minutes.
