Preview: Blackburn Rovers vs. Doncaster Rovers

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between playoff-chasing Blackburn and relegation-threatened Doncaster.

Blackburn Rovers will look to continue their fine start to 2014 when they host struggling Doncaster Rovers in the Championship on Saturday.

Blackburn began the year with a 2-1 away victory over Leeds United before holding Manchester City to a draw in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.

Gary Bowyer's side have only been beaten once in their last seven matches, a run that has seen them rise to 10th in the Championship table, just two points off the playoffs.

Leon Best is a doubt for the match, but other than that the hosts have a full squad to choose from.

Doncaster, meanwhile, are going through a dreadful spell of form at the moment having lost six and drawn two of their last eight matches, leaving them in the relegation zone.

A victory could be enough to lift the Yorkshire side out of the bottom three, while a draw may also suffice, but they are reliant on other results going their way for that to happen.

They have only won once on their travels all season and have picked up just two points from the last 24 on offer away from home.

The visitors will have Paul Keegan back available for this match as he returns from a two-month injury layoff, but Jamie McCombe and Rob Jones are both still sidelined with knee trouble.
