Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez has described his side's clash with Borussia Dortmund at the weekend as a "clasico".
The top two sides in the Bundesliga will confront each other at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
"Bayern against Dortmund is a 'clasico'," he said. "Even in Spain I watched it. Those are the two best German clubs after all."
Martinez, who joined Bayern from Athletic Bilbao in the summer, also praised fellow midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
"Bastian Schweinsteiger has been a great help to me, as partner in midfield and as a teammate," said the Spaniard.
"He is instrumental for the team, on and off the pitch."
Bayern will take on Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Wednesday.
