Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet emerges as a transfer target for Everton, according to a report.

Everton boss Rafael Benitez is reportedly keen for the Toffees to sign Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet during this summer's transfer window.

The France international has been a regular for the Catalan giants since arriving from Sevilla in 2018 but is believed to be available for transfer ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

According to Fichajes, Benitez has instructed the Everton board to move for the 26-year-old, as he is determined to add to his defence during the current market.

The report claims that Lenglet could be available for a fee in the region of €20m (£17.2m), with Barcelona needing to bring in transfer funds and reduce their wage budget this summer.

The centre-back has made 133 appearances for the Catalan giants since his arrival, including 48 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 season.

Everton are also believed to be targeting PSV Eindhoven's Denzel Dumfries, who made a positive impression for the Netherlands at this summer's European Championship.
