Aston Villa attacker Andreas Weimann has described recent reports that he had turned down the club's offer of a new contract as "not true".
Speculation had claimed that the Austrian international was unhappy with the salary that Villa were willing to pay him.
However, the 21-year-old has insisted that there is no truth in the rumours and went on to reveal that discussions are "still ongoing".
"The reports in the papers about rejecting the contract are not true! I've always been happy here and talks are still ongoing," he wrote on Twitter.
Weimann joined Villa in 2010 from his boyhood club Rapid Vienna.
