Report: Chelsea allow Petr Cech to join Arsenal

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is willing to sell back-up goalkeeper Petr Cech to Arsenal in January, according to reports.

Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sell out-of-favour goalkeeper Petr Cech to Premier League rivals Arsenal in January.

The 32-year-old has surrendered the number one shirt to Thibaut Courtois this season and is said to be unhappy with his situation.

Speculation has mounted that the Gunners are keen on offering the wantaway Czech an escape route out of Stamford Bridge and, according to the Daily Star, Blues boss Jose Mourinho will sanction the switch.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is thought to want the veteran keeper to challenge Wojciech Szczesny at the Emirates, with current back-up David Ospina failing to displace the Pole thus far.

The former Rennes stopper, who joined West Londoners in 2004, could move for a fee of £7m.
