Alexis Sanchez 'disappointed' by Arsenal season

Alexis Sanchez believes that Arsenal had a "disappointing" season even though they retained the FA Cup and qualified for the Champions League.

Alexis Sanchez has claimed that Arsenal had a "disappointing" season, despite winning the FA Cup and qualifying for the Champions League.

The Chilean international scored 24 goals in all competitions last term following a £30m summer move from Barcelona.

Arsene Wenger's side retained their FA Cup crown and secured a third-place finish in the Premier League table, but Sanchez believes that the Gunners should have been challenging for more silverware.

"I would have liked to be in the Champions League final or to have won the Premier League title," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "I believe we have a bunch of skilful players so to not achieve more is disappointing."

Sanchez and his Chile teammates get their Copa America campaign underway on June 12 in Santiago.
