Arsene Wenger urges Arsenal to take inspiration from 2011 win over Barcelona

Arsene Wenger tells his Arsenal players to take inspiration from the club's 2011 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his team to take inspiration from their famous victory over Barcelona in 2011.

Five years ago, the Gunners sealed a 2-1 win over the Catalan giants in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 thanks to goals from Robin van Persie and Andrey Arshavin.

On February 23, the two clubs will meet again as Arsenal host Barcelona at the Emirates.

"We suffered for a big part of the game, but we should be encouraged by that," Wenger told the Arsenal Weekly podcast.

"We suffered in the first half but in the second we posed more danger. That should help us in our game this time, if we have uncomfortable moments we know in our mind we can still win."

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions.
