Ajaccio throw away two-goal lead against Toulouse

Ajaccio remain stranded at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table after throwing away a two-goal lead at home to Toulouse on Saturday evening.

Ajaccio have been denied a vital win in their tough battle against the drop as Toulouse came from two goals down to snatch a point in their Ligue 1 clash.

The bottom side got off to the perfect start with a goal after just four minutes. Ricardo Faty was found by a Benjamin Andre free kick to guide a low finish into the bottom corner from the centre of the box.

Toulouse came into the game and could have levelled after 15 minutes, but after meeting Etienne Didot's corner, Jonathan Zebina put his header high and wide.

Another chance fell the way of the away side, but Wissam Ben Yedder could have done better with his shot from inside the box, with Guillermo Ochoa making the save.

Although the away side were just about on top, Ajaccio doubled their lead on 34 minutes as Junior Tallo was set up by Mehdi Mostefa to finish low.

Just three minutes later, however, the away side got back into the game with a goal from Issiaga Sylla, who reacted quickest to Ben Yedder's shot that was pushed away.

Issa Baradji could have made it 3-1 not long after the restart, but his header went too high from Paul Lasne's free kick.

Clement Chantome levelled matters on the hour mark with an accurate low finish, and it could have been all three for the visitors had Zebina not missed a penalty deep into stoppage time.
