AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has slammed an organised movement from Inter Milan fans to racially abuse Mario Balotelli as "absurd and uncivilised".
The arch-rivals will meet in tonight's Milan derby with the Inter ultras releasing flyers ahead of the game urging fans to racially insult the striker.
"It would be absurd and uncivilised [to aim racial abuse], especially as Balotelli is an Italian," Berlusconi told reporters.
"We should also change the laws to help people gain citizenship when they live and work here legally.
"I hope that Balotelli can continue to be the lad of simple pleasures that he is now. Off the field he is calm and relaxed, while he is a perfect professional in training and the locker room."
Balotelli moved to the Rossoneri in January from Manchester City after spending four years at Inter from 2006 to 2010.
