Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are reportedly lining up a deal to swap Fernando Torres for Radamel Falcao.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen on re-signing Fernando Torres, which could pave the way for Radamel Falcao to join Chelsea.

According to The Mirror, Atleti are keen to take their former captain back to Vicente Calderon in a deal which could see Colombian striker Falcao swap places with the former Liverpool man.

Falcao has carved out a reputation as one of the finest strikers in world football following his displays for Diego Simeone's side this season, and Atletico's interest in Torres could see the two forwards move in opposite directions.

Torres left the Spanish capital to join Liverpool in 2007 and became English football's most expensive player of all time when Chelsea paid £50m for him in January 2011.
