Grega Zemjla overcomes Josh Goodall in four sets

Grega Zemlja reaches round two of the Wimbledon Championships following following a three-set-to-one victory over Josh Goodall.

Grega Zemlja has progressed into the second round of the Wimbledon Championships after a 6-4 3-6 7-6[3] 6-4 victory over Josh Goodall.

The British 26-year-old struggled in the opening exchanges of the first set, with Zemlja taking control and grabbing the first break to take an advantage and go one set to the good.

Goodall managed to respond in the second set by enforcing a number of important forehand shots across the grass court, which prevented his Slovenian opponent from forcing an impact.

After claiming the second set, the Brit continued to press but Zemlja remained in contention and came up with answers to Goodall's damaging shots.

The set was decided with a tie-break, which 25-year-old Zemlja just clinched to take a two-set-to-one lead.

The fourth set started well for Goodall but it was Zemlja who took the advantage when the opportunity arose in order to book a spot in the second round.
